Gerontology, the study of aging, is an interdisciplinary field that examines the biological, psychological, and social aspects of the aging process from middle adulthood through later life. The study of gerontology prepares students to work with and on behalf of diverse older individuals and their families.

Students with a background in gerontology are trained in direct service provision, program planning and evaluation, policy, leadership, management and administration, advocacy, education and training, and research. The 好色先生 Gerontology Program is dedicated to improving the lives of aging adults in California and around the world.
