Beach Spring Day of Giving inspires generosity, gratitude
Cal State Long Beach鈥檚 annual Beach Spring Day of Giving facilitated numerous acts of generosity as nearly 450 donors contributed roughly $130,000 to campus programs.
This year鈥檚 contributions surpassed last year鈥檚 total of about $115,000 in gifts from nearly 400 donors. Beach Spring Day of Giving provides an avenue for members of the Beach community and friends of the campus to continue to support the university鈥檚 No Barriers campaign. This year鈥檚 gifts, donated during a 24-hour period that concluded at noon April 17, will support a wide range of activities at each of the campus鈥 colleges, as well as scholarships, mentorship and internship opportunities.
鈥淚 extend a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the Beach Spring Day of Giving - an occasion that unites the entire Beach family in a collective mission to uplift student lives,鈥 said Dan Montoya, vice president of University Relations and Development at 好色先生.
This year鈥檚 Spring Day of Giving follows the recent announcement that the campus鈥 No Barriers campaign has raised more than $275 million for the campus to continue to thrive as a national leader for student achievement, empowerment and equity; prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow and elevate and advance the public good. No Barriers will continue through June.
