Nate Onderdunk, professor of geology in the Department of Earth Science, spoke with about the cause of the landslides on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Professor Onderdunk said it looked like some of the very old landslides in the area appeared to be reactivated because of the additional water from recent rainstorms.
