Andrew Jenks
Andrew Jenks, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of History at California State University, Long Beach and Editor of the .
Jenks specializes in the history of modern Europe, Russia, the environment, and technology and science. His current research is for a book on Russian immigration to Mexico entitled: “Los Rusos: Revolutions, Statelessness, and the Russian Diaspora in Mexico, 1905-1965.”
Jenks is the author of “Russia in a Box: Art and Identity in An Age of Revolution,” and “Perils of Progress: Environmental Disasters in the 20th Century,” “The Cosmonaut Who Couldn’t Stop Smiling: The Life and Legend of Yuri Gagarin,” and his latest book, “Collaboration in Space and the Search for Peace on Earth.”
Jenks holds a doctorate degree in Russian history from Stanford and a M.A. from the University of Michigan.
