Accreditation

The School of Nursing at California State University, Long Beach has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing and has held continuous accreditation by national accreditation organizations. The baccalarueate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, and post-graduate APRN certificate programs at California State University, Long Beach is accredited by the . This accreditation runs October 2020 through October 2030.

Notification to Nursing Students: Professional Licensure and Certification in other States or Territories:

CSU programs for professions that require licensure or certification are intended to prepare the student to meet California licensure and certification requirements.  Admission into programs that require licensure or certification does not guarantee that students will obtain a license or certification. 

We have not determined whether its programs meet the requirements of other state licensure or certification requirements.  The BSN program at CSU Long Beach prepares you to take the NCLEX-RN exam in the State of California.  All our graduate programs meet the standards for graduates to be eligible for a variety of national certifications from multiple organizations. 

Licensure and certification requirements are set by agencies not controlled or affiliated with the CSU system and may change at any time. Applicants who want to practice in other states should be aware that requirements will vary from each state.  Individual state board of nursing requirements may be found at the .   This disclosure is made pursuant to 34 CFR 668.43(c).
