This workshop shares stories uncovered by journalists focused on how AI bias can disadvantage groups of people in specific situations. Two case studies of biased hiring and medical AI-tools are presented. You will walk away with knowledge of how AI bias works and the ability to systematically test AI-tools for it, an underrated skill for the workplace that is useful to everyone.
