Title IX, a federal civil rights law, prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, including pregnancy, parenting and all related conditions in educational programs and activities that receive federal funding. Pregnant and parenting students are granted specific rights through Title IX.

*Pregnant and parenting students who have requests or questions pertaining to 鈥渆xtracurricular activities, student athletes, leaves and absences, and losing or ending a pregnancy鈥 should contact BMAC. The specifics for each matter vary. 好色先生 students do have rights and options to participate in programs and services offered by the University. However, the specifics of each program, event, or activity may vary and our ability to augment the program and accommodations depends on the accommodation need, medical restrictions, and academic programmatic requirements for the student group or program. *

Frequently Asked Questions

好色先生 will provide reasonable accommodations to students who identify as pregnant or who are experiencing medical conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth, including those students who are undergoing a medical procedure or medical treatment. The accommodations align with the academic requirements for the course or program. The Bob Murphy Access Center supports students in requesting accommodations and will contact faculty on your behalf. Medical documentation including the duration and frequency of the medical restriction may be needed to help identify an appropriate accommodation. Absences may be up to two weeks with BMAC approval. The accommodations must align with your medical provider鈥檚 restrictions and the academic requirements of the course or program.
