How-To's
A DocuSign PowerForm is a way to fill out documents, add attachments and sign forms online. The PowerForm allows multiple users to fill documents out by the comfort of only having to share a link. All forms required for production are PowerForms and can be filled out by the links provided in their respective page.
Filling out a DocuSign
- Please make sure you have all the required documents prior to filling out a DocuSign power form.
- Some fields may not be required, however you should still fill them out if special approval is needed or for additional clarity.
- Double check that all contacts and emails listed on the DocuSign are spelled correctly. If not, the signer won鈥檛 get the email to sign.
- To see if you have all the documents required to fill out the DocuSign, please see the and find the specific PDF you are planning to fill out.
- Once you finish filling out all the information on the document and you sign it, it'll be sent off to the next person in line to sign or add more information. This process will repeat itself until everyone has signed it.
- The process of completing a DocuSign might take a few weeks depending on the complexity of the PowerForm. Please be patient with the process, but follow up emails to any of the recipients don't hurt.
- For any email formatting see the accordion below.
Receiving a DocuSign to sign
- When receiving a DocuSign to sign, you鈥檒l get an email from DocuSign saying you have a document to sign.
- Emails with documents to sign will only come from DocuSign. If you don鈥檛 get the email, please check your spam box as well.
- If you don't sign the DocuSign within a few days a follow up email will come into your inbox reminding you to take action on the PowerForm.
- After all the signatures have been received, you will get a completion email with the finalized document.
Checking a DocuSign's History
- DocuSign keeps track of all activity history from the creator, signer, and anyone else who has access to viewing the document.
- DocuSign tracks the time of creation, delivery, signatures, any opening/viewing, copies delivered, and expired links that have been re-sent.
- To view DocuSign history:
- Click Other Actions located at the top right corner >
- In the dropdown bar click on View History.
How to Download your DocuSign
- DocuSign allows you to download your document as a combined PDF or separated PDF.
- Combined PDF downloads a single PDF that includes all documents.
- Separated PDF downloads in a .ZIP file with individual PDFs.
- A separated PDF may be used to separate the Insurance Approval letter from the Request for Location/Equipment Rental Insurance Approval document. This will help rental houses and permit offices when Insurance approval is needed, but they don't need to see the application itself.
- To download your document:
- Click on the icon of an arrow pointing downwards - which is the center most icon, located near the top of the page >
- In the dropdown bar, select either Combined PDF or Separated PDF.

Office 365

Sharepoint
- SharePoint is the application in which Film and Electronic Arts department files live.
- You can find safety, equipment, facility, and production documents, along with Class Folders and Greenlight Production sheets.
- You can also share files and folders with CINE peers.
- The CINE SharePoint is only accessible by students and faculty with an active SSO account.
- SSO (or Single Sign-On) is a digital authentication service that permits users with log-in credentials to access multiple applications. 好色先生 used SSO to allow students and faculty access to a network of apps like Beachboard/Canvas, Outlook, One Drive, Office 365, etc. so long as they have a school email and password. Therefore, if you do not have a 好色先生 SSO log-in, you will not be able to access the CINE Sharepoint.
- Students and faculty can access SharePoint by:
- Clicking on the CINE Policies & Procedures Documents Folder link on the CINE Policy and Procedure Documents page.
- Links to specific folders within the SharePoint are scattered throughout the website.
- Logging onto their Outlook, 好色先生 student/faculty email, clicking on the dotted square in the upper left corner of the page, and clicking on the SharePoint application.
- Clicking on the CINE Policies & Procedures Documents Folder link on the CINE Policy and Procedure Documents page.
- Make sure you always use your @student.csulb.edu email when emailing any CINE staff, faculty, or offices.
- When reserving equipment or sound facilities, please CC your professor.
- Please give time for the email recipient to read and reply to your email. Please keep in mind most faculty and staff won't check their emails over the weekend and have other emails to read.
- Writing a follow-up email after a few business days can help get a response sooner.
- Try to maintain professionalism at all times.
- Please make sure to follow all formatting requests while sending in equipment and facility requests. For more information, please visit the Equipment Reservation Format or Facility Reservation pages.
